Terms of Service

By accessing or using StyleExtract ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and Developer API subscribers.

StyleExtract is a web-based tool that analyzes publicly accessible websites and extracts brand design tokens including color palettes, typography, spacing, and Tailwind CSS configuration. The Service produces downloadable reports in various formats (PDF, JSON, CSS, TypeScript, Figma tokens).

We also provide free tools (including a .cursorrules generator and a Tailwind v4 converter) and a Developer API for programmatic access.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to bind yourself to these terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@styleextract.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Scrape, analyze, or extract data from websites that explicitly prohibit automated access in their robots.txt or terms of service, where such prohibition is legally enforceable in your jurisdiction.
• Build competing products that replicate the core extraction functionality of StyleExtract.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
• Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or payment requirements.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Submit URLs that redirect to private network addresses (SSRF attacks) or that you do not have permission to analyze.
• Intentionally submit malicious or adversarial content designed to disrupt our processing infrastructure.

The Service fetches publicly rendered pages as any browser would. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service with respect to a particular target URL complies with that site's terms of service and applicable law.

One-time extraction purchase ($29.99 USD). A one-time purchase unlocks the full brand report for a single extraction, including all export formats. Purchases are processed by Stripe.

Developer API subscription ($59.99 USD/month). Monthly subscription billed on the same date each month. Provides API access for programmatic extraction. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled.

All prices are listed in USD. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

One-time purchases. Because extraction reports are digital goods delivered immediately upon purchase, purchases are non-refundable once the access token has been delivered and files have been downloaded. If you experience a technical failure that prevented delivery, contact us within 7 days and we will issue a full refund or re-deliver the files at our discretion.

API subscriptions. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue pro-rated refunds for partial months.

Our IP. The StyleExtract software, website, branding, and documentation are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce or distribute them without our written permission.

Your extracted data. The brand tokens extracted from a website you analyze are derived from that website's publicly rendered assets. We do not claim ownership over the extracted design data. You are responsible for complying with any IP rights held by the owner of the analyzed website.

Your content. You retain ownership of any URLs or inputs you submit. By submitting them, you grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide the Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• Extraction results will be complete, accurate, or error-free — some sites use obfuscated CSS or block automated access.
• The Service will be uninterrupted or available at all times.
• Files generated will be compatible with every tool or version of tools you intend to use them with.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STYLEEXTRACT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $29.99 USD.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StyleExtract from any claims, damages, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these terms, (b) your violation of any applicable law, or (c) your infringement of any third party's intellectual property rights.

API subscribers receive an API key that must be kept confidential. You are responsible for all API calls made with your key. Rate limits apply as documented. We reserve the right to suspend API access for abuse, including but not limited to: excessive request rates, intentional circumvention of limits, or use of the API to build competing services.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for material violation of these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7–10 survive termination.

You may terminate your account at any time by emailing support@styleextract.com.

These terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if unresolved, through binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. For active API subscribers, we will email notice of material changes.
